Quality Standards
For the second year running, the Seedley and Langworthy Trust has achieved ISO 9001 status. This European standard covers all business sectors and has enabled the Trust to have a more structured and systematic approach to its management systems. The benefits of achieving this prestigious standard include; it enables SALT to have preferred status for tenders, it has improved efficiency and reduced wastage, it has improved our communications, motivated our staff, improved customer satisfaction and enhanced our status. Hopefully this will ensure long term savings for SALT and give us an increased competitive advantage.
The Trust is also due to be assessed for the Matrix Quality standard in September 2011. The Matrix Standard is the unique quality standard for organisations to assess and measure their advice and support services, which ultimately support individuals in their choice of career. The Matrix Standard is a nationally recognised framework for the achievement of high quality services and is accredited to organisations which consistently demonstrate a quality led performance approach.
The standard measures an organisation’s ability to review, evaluate and develop their service and encourages the take up of professionally recognised qualifications and the continuous professional development of their staff. The Matrix Standard consists of four elements including; Leadership and Management, Service Delivery, Resources and Continuous Quality Improvement. Organisations which manage, administer and deliver an information, advice, support and / or guidance service to support individuals in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals (whether the services are delivered face-to-face, through training, learning remotely, or through a website) can become accredited to the Matrix Standard.
Organisations that have benefited from working with the Standard include Training Providers, Universities, Further/Higher Education Colleges, Schools and Academies, Sole Traders, Next Step Providers, Voluntary and Community Organisations and Private Businesses.

SALT is looking forward to being evaluated through this rigorous process and is ensuring that it meets these robust standards. We feel that working towards the standard has ensured that we are continuously striving to achieve an excellent level of customer service.
